Duplicating a campaign

Copy an existing campaign to rerun it, move it to new dates or a new area, or split a test. What is copied and what you need to check before launching the copy.

How to duplicate

From your Campaigns list, open the campaign's menu and choose Duplicate. The copy opens in the wizard as a new draft with a "(copy)" suffix on the name.

What is copied

  • Objective, locations, radii, points of interest and audience filters
  • Selected and excluded screens
  • Daypart, pacing and budget mode
  • Attached creatives (already approved, so they do not need a new review)

What is not copied

  • Dates. The copy has no dates, so you set the new flight. This is deliberate: a copied end date in the past is the most common reason a rerun fails to launch.
  • Delivery and report. The copy starts fresh.
  • Approval. The copy is a new campaign and goes through approval on launch.

Good uses

  • Rerun a campaign that worked, with new dates.
  • Move a campaign to a new suburb: duplicate, swap the location, keep everything else.
  • Split a test: duplicate, change one variable (creative, daypart, radius) and run both.
  • Seasonal templates: keep a completed campaign as the master and duplicate it each time.

Before you launch the copy

Check the forecast. Inventory, lead time and the rate card may have moved since the original ran, so the CPM and impressions for the same plan can differ. The quote card shows the current figures.
