Understanding your campaign report

What each metric in a JOLT report means — impressions, plays, spend, CPM, scans — the breakdowns available, how often the data refreshes, and how to read pacing.

Open any campaign from your Campaigns list to see its report. It is built from the same delivery records your invoice is, so the two always agree.

The headline metrics

MetricWhat it means
ImpressionsLikely viewings of your ad, from plays × each screen's measured audience
PlaysTimes your 8-second spot was shown, across all screens
SpendWhat has been billed so far, in the campaign's currency
CPMSpend ÷ impressions × 1,000 — your effective rate to date
ScansQR code scans, if the creative carries one
ScreensScreens that have played the campaign

Impressions and plays are the delivered figures, not the forecast. The forecast from the wizard is shown alongside so you can see how delivery is tracking against plan.

Breakdowns

Switch the breakdown to see the same metrics:

  • By day — the delivery curve across the flight
  • By screen — which venues delivered most
  • By creative — compare versions in rotation
  • By day of week — when your audience is there

Each breakdown can be exported.

Resident audience mix

Where census data is available, the report shows the age mix of residents around the screens your campaign played on, and how many screens carried a census profile. This describes who lives near the screens, not who was counted passing them. See Audience filters.

How often it updates

Delivery records are collected from the screen network several times a day and the report refreshes as they arrive. A play on a screen this morning is normally in your report by this afternoon. Spend updates as delivery is billed.

Reading pacing

  • Steady daily delivery on an Even campaign means it is on track.
  • A day at zero usually means the campaign was paused, or its creative was awaiting approval.
  • Delivery finishing early on an As fast as possible campaign is expected.
  • Delivery below forecast with budget unspent means fewer plays were available than modeled — usually heavy competition for the same screens. Widening the plan helps.
