Creative review and approval

What happens

When you save a creative it enters Pending review. A member of the JOLT team checks it and marks it Approved or Rejected. Review usually takes under one business day; we email you either way, and a rejection always says what needs to change.

A campaign goes live only once its creative is approved. If approval lands after your start date, the campaign starts as soon as it is approved and runs to the end date.

What we check

• Technical fit. Portrait 1080 × 1920, readable at distance, nothing critical outside the safe zone, video within the 8-second spot.
• Suitability for public screens. JOLT screens are in family-friendly public places. No sexual or violent content, no shock imagery, nothing unlawful.
• Regulated categories. Alcohol, gambling, financial products, health claims and political advertising follow the rules of the market the campaign runs in, and may need disclaimers or be refused where local law requires.
• Accuracy. Offers and prices must be genuine and match the landing page a QR code points to.
• Rights. You must own or license everything in the creative, including imagery, fonts and music (which is not played, but must still be licensed for the video).

Common rejection reasons

• Text too small to read from a distance.
• Landscape artwork with letterboxing.
• Important content in the outer 10% of the frame.
• Missing legal disclaimer for a regulated category.
• Low-resolution or stretched imagery.

Fixing a rejection

Open the creative on the Creatives page, read the reason, upload a corrected file and save. It re-enters review at the front of the queue. Approved creatives on the same campaign keep running in the meantime.

Turnaround

Reviews run during business hours in each market. Submit at least one business day before your start date. If you are booking screens without creative yet, the wizard shows the deadline you must upload by. See Reserve screens and add creative later.
