JOLT creatives are portrait 1080 × 1920 images or videos for an 8-second spot. Accepted formats, size limits, the four ways to add a creative, and how to manage your library.
| Requirement | |
|---|---|
| Orientation | Portrait |
| Dimensions | 1080 × 1920 pixels (9:16). Other sizes at the same ratio are accepted within 2%. |
| Spot length | 8 seconds. Every spot on a JOLT screen plays for 8 seconds, still or video. |
| Image formats | JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP — up to 10 MB |
| Video formats | MP4, WebM — up to 50 MB |
| Audio | Not played. Screens are silent. |
| Safe zone | Keep critical content inside the central 80% of the frame |
| Text | Minimum 48 px; large, high-contrast, few words |
A still image is shown for the full 8 seconds. A video should be cut to 8 seconds; a longer video is trimmed to the spot.
You can also bulk upload several files at once from the Creatives page.
Files you upload must match the 9:16 ratio. Creatives generated by Spark or imported from Canva are automatically scaled and centre-cropped to fill 1080 × 1920, which is why a landscape Canva design will lose its edges — start from a portrait template.
The Creatives page lists every creative in your organization with its status (pending review, approved or rejected), the campaigns using it, and a preview. Rename creatives so they are easy to find in reports.
Every creative is checked by the JOLT team before it plays, usually under one business day. See Creative review.
